Fernie and Sparwood sit further up the valley than Cranbrook and Kimberley, with Elkford beyond that — still well within regular reach from Wasa. Between ski-town growth around Fernie and the mix of long-time residential and newer acreage properties around Sparwood and Elkford, it's a steady part of our work.

What a site here actually needs

Elevation and terrain vary a lot through this stretch of valley, and so does what a given lot can support — we don't assume anything based on general area. Every site gets its own test pits and perc testing, and the design follows what that testing actually shows, not a guess based on the neighbourhood.

What we typically handle here

• Conventional gravity and pressure distribution fields where soil and space allow
• Replacement systems for aging properties, common on older Fernie and Sparwood lots
• Real estate assessments — a steady need given the mix of long-term residential and vacation/investment property turnover in Fernie especially

Elkford and beyond

We regularly work out to Elkford as well. Further up the valley means a bit more travel time factored into scheduling, but it's within normal service range from Wasa.
